Nienwohld: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

In Nienwohld, the 37 km cycling tour Tour 5 “On the Moorland Tour” begins at the Nienwohld hiking car park. It follows the village road towards the Alte Alster before passing the Nienwohlder Moor. Later, the route returns through the moor. Along the way, the crossing near the return to Nienwohld forms a historic landscape feature: the cycle path crosses the remains of the historic former Alster–Trave Canal and the Nienwohld locks, which were part of an unsuccessful waterway project between Lübeck and Hamburg from 1529–1549.
