Kollmar: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Kollmar is located on the Elbe in the Kollmarer Marsch protected landscape area. The character of the village is shaped by agriculture, historic farmsteads, harbors, and beaches. Anyone wishing to rent a holiday apartment in Kollmar can then continue searching for accommodation.

Water and Nature

The floodplain in front of the Elbe dike and the shoreline in the protected area provide a habitat for numerous waterbird species, which breed, rest, and search for food there.

The sandy beach at Kollmar harbor is described as a place for summer recreation, sunbathing, and cooling off in the water. The harbor playground lies between Kollmar’s sandy beach and the dike; it includes a pirate ship with an observation tower.

Bielenberg harbor offers berths for sailors and motorboat users.

Exploring the Outdoors

A circular cycling route starts at Kollmar harbor and follows the Elbe toward Bielenberg. It then crosses the Kollmarer Marsch along lightly trafficked agricultural roads, passing drainage ditches, meadows, and historic dike lines.

A walk of approximately 5 kilometers from Kollmar harbor to the mouth of the Krückau and back leads through the floodplain in front of the Elbe dike, passing reeds, tidal creeks, ponds, and mudflats.

The 22-kilometer Obsttörn is a circular tour through the fruit-growing region between Kollmar and Neuendorf.

For walks in Kollmar, the Neuer Weg parking lot is designated as the best parking option.
