Tensfeld: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
In Tensfeld, the 8.09-kilometre circular route through the Tarbek Moor begins at the Tensfeld community centre and circles a restored moorland complex. From 1991 onwards, the moor was rewetted by damming the Tensfelder Au; its moorland vegetation provides a habitat for many animal species. When planning a personal trip around this place, there may also be a wish to rent a holiday apartment.
Nature
The Tarbek Moor Route is not marked on site and is currently documented digitally; following the route description is recommended. The Tensfelder Au circular route also starts at the Tensfeld community centre and is documented digitally, but without on-site markings.
The Tensfelder Au circular route runs along the Tensfelder Au through meadows, fields and small wooded areas. It is suitable for birdwatching.
Cranes have resettled in the moorland areas of Tensfeld and the surrounding regions. Hiking Pass #2 includes the nature park municipalities of Stocksee, Damsdorf, Tensfeld, Seedorf, Wensin and Glasau.
South of Muggesfelder Lake, a bench offers views of the lake and Gut Muggesfelde. Gut Muggesfelde is not open to visitors along the route, but from the main gate it is possible to look into the courtyard from outside.
Cycling
The Tensfeld Moor is described as an example of an original moorland landscape with rare flora and fauna, as well as importance for climate protection. Seven circular cycling routes have been developed in the Holstein Spring Country; the landscape is characterised by forests, lakes, moors and meadows.
Sports
The MCE Tensfeld facility includes a motocross track with deep sand and a separate children's track. Tensfeld is also a location of the ADAC MX Academy, offering taster courses and an advanced motocross course for young people.
The MCE Tensfeld off-road facility offers general training days for enduro riders, motocross riders and quad riders and hosts events such as the ADAC MX Masters. An ADAC motorsport facility in Tensfeld organises motocross and trial activities.
