History
Saustrup has a medieval history as a settlement. The Meierhof Monkhowswisch is recorded and was probably associated with Mohrkirchen Monastery. It was situated on a natural elevation at the confluence of the Saustrup Au and the former Hagenbek. Flarupgaard is also mentioned as the successor to a farm documented since the 14th century.
