St. Mary's Church in Nübel is a Romanesque church. Its brick-built choir and east wall are described as probably the oldest brick construction in Angeln; later construction phases were continued in fieldstone. The church was built partly of brick and partly of fieldstone and preserves Romanesque round-arched windows in the choir and nave. Large segmental-arched windows with brick surrounds were added in the 15th century, as were the portal and vestibule, which date from the same construction phase. The wooden bell tower has had its present form since 1765.
The listed village church of Nübel is enclosed by a cemetery to the north and west and by a fieldstone wall to the south and east. St. Mary's Church was first documented at the end of the 12th century.
The Kurt Hansen Nübel-Schaalby Fire Brigade Museum illustrates the development of fire protection from the fire bucket to the fire engine. The collection of the Nübel Fire Brigade Museum began in 1960 and covers the history and development of the fire service from 1870 to 1945 and beyond. On 300 square metres, the museum presents exhibitions on uniforms, awards, certificates, equipment, pumps, fittings and breathing apparatus from regional fire brigades in Schleswig-Flensburg. The Nübel Fire Brigade Museum offers guided tours and visits for school classes by prior arrangement.
The collection of folk-art granite stones began in 1977 and preserves historic granite stones. The Old Smithy collection documents everyday village life in a smithy.
Cycling
The KirchTörn route runs through predominantly flat, paved terrain and begins and ends at a car park. The route leads through the gentle Angeln landscape and continues to Nübel after passing St. Mary's Church.
