Mittelangeln: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
The Historic Satrup Circular Trail has eleven stations featuring historical impressions from the center of Mittelangeln. The route takes about 45 minutes on foot. The suggested starting point is the parking lot at the ADS kindergarten, Flensburgerstraße 6a.
Culture
The Satruphuus Museum in Mittelangeln is located in a former shop building dating from 1846. On three floors, it displays local materials relating to trade, crafts, industry, the Redlefsen company, Satrup’s railway stations, and historical working methods.
The late Romanesque St. Lawrence Church in Satrup was built around 1200. It contains a portrait of a knight described as probably the oldest of its kind in Schleswig-Holstein. A medieval motte castle once stood on a barely visible hill beside the Mühlenstrom. The Rehbergholz and Schwennholz protected area contains six megalithic tombs.
Nature
The Rehberg forest enclosure has extensive paths for walking in nature. A short circular trail is 1.6 kilometers long, while a longer one is 3.25 kilometers; the longer circular trail also includes outdoor fitness stations.
Along the circular trail through the Satrupholm Moor, information boards provide information about the moor’s flora and fauna. This circular trail is 1.8 kilometers long. The 34-hectare Hechtmoor was designated a nature reserve in 1941. Near Rehbergholz and Schwennholz, hiking and walking paths run through the forest.
Leisure
Satrup outdoor swimming pool has four different pools. The swimming pool has five 25-meter lanes.
