Tornesch is located on the Ochsenweg cycle route, which is described locally as a route from Wedel to Denmark. There are rest areas for cyclists and pedestrians in the town; shelters are available in the northern moorland area and in Esinger Wohld.

In Esinger Wohld, paths run for around five kilometres through a mature mixed forest. The area offers opportunities for walking, jogging, horse riding and observing nature. Facilities include a car park, a shelter and benches.

Culture and Other Activities

The Mölln-Hof Local History Museum presents collections on agricultural and domestic life across around 800 square metres and two floors. Exhibits include tractors, agricultural equipment, displays on milk processing and peat extraction, traditional workshops, an old kitchen and historic washing equipment.

The Mölln-Hof Museum is open from May to October on the first Sunday of each month from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., on special event days from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., or by appointment.

The municipal observatory on the roof of the Klaus Groth School offers public stargazing through a large telescope during astronomy nights. Local riding stables offer riding lessons, dressage and show jumping on school horses, trail rides, pony walks and holiday programmes.
