Culture

Seeth-Ekholt is home to two historic boundary stones dating from the period of Danish rule in Schleswig-Holstein: one is located near Voßbarg, is associated with the Pinneberg lordship, and is dated 1782. The other stands near Langenhof, is assigned to the Rantzau district, and bears the year 1788.

The residential and farm building at Dorfstraße 5 in Ekholt is classified as a listed farm building. The structure is a two-post hall house from the 18th century with a thatched roof and a stable extension dating from the late 19th century. The farmhouse retains large parts of its period interior, including historic details in the stable extension.

The former stable and storage building of the schoolmaster in Seeth-Ekholt was faithfully restored on the outside and is now used as a youth centre.

Nature

Seether Straße, Brunnenweg and Maienbrook are lined with old varieties of fruit trees and offer views of the blossoms. The small Ekholter Moor is documented as a landscape feature of Seeth-Ekholt.

The larger Hammoor is being restored in a nature-friendly manner together with neighbouring Ellerhoop and the Hammoor Association. The Hammoor between Seeth-Ekholt and Ellerhoop provides a habitat for many rare plant and animal species.

An ADFC day tour initially follows the course of the Elbe and Pinnau rivers and then leads through Seeth-Ekholt.
