History

The Kronsnest ferry crosses the Krückau from Seester to Neuendorf. The harbour at Seesteraudeich, formerly used by fishing vessels, now serves recreational boaters with pleasure craft. Day trips in Seester can be taken by car, bicycle, inline skates or on foot and are focused on experiencing the marshland landscape. Information boards and signposts help visitors find their way around Seester.
In Kurzenmoor on the L109, the Elmshorn Model Building Club operates a model airfield approved by the relevant ministry.

At the Kronsnest ferry landing, Café Sööte Eck serves homemade cake and ferry waffles. At the same location, the Stöpenkieker Museum presents changing exhibitions. The Seestermüher Marsch regularly hosts changing exhibitions on regional themes.
