A short, easy circular hike around Sarkwitz leads through the Schwartau Valley to Blocksberg, a former Slavic ringwork. The 3.7-kilometre route includes a waterfall, the River Schwartau, woodland, small lakes, narrow paths, and places to sit or have a picnic. In the Schwartau Valley near Sarkwitz, views of the River Schwartau combine with a wooded setting and the former Slavic ringwork known as Blocksberg.
