Breklum: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Culture

Breklum Church is an open church for visits and prayer. From Easter until harvest time, guided tours of the church, tower and bells are available; the tower and bell tours require prior registration and provide access to the 55-metre-high tower of Breklum Church, views from above and the belfry.

The Christian Jensen Kolleg in Breklum is an ecumenical seminar and conference centre. The campus comprises seminar rooms, guest rooms, common rooms, dining rooms, a café and the administration building in a large garden next to a small woodland area. In 1876, Pastor Christian Jensen founded the Schleswig-Holstein Evangelical Lutheran Mission Society in Breklum.

Geographical Location

Breklum is located on the B 5 coastal road and the Hamburg–Westerland railway line. The North Sea, beaches and the nearby Wadden Sea can be reached by bicycle or car; the islands and Halligen are accessible via the ferry ports of Nordstrand, Schlüttsiel and Dagebüll.

In nearby Bredstedt, the Mittleres Nordfriesland Nature Centre offers exhibitions, environmental laboratory activities, slide shows, handicraft workshops and other programme items. In the broader regional context, Schleswig-Holstein Wadden Sea National Park borders the coast of the Mittleres Nordfriesland region and offers visitors a variety of opportunities to experience the World Heritage site.

The Bredstedt telecommunications tower and the Hallig Habel are located in the surrounding area of Breklum.
