History

The listed main building at Golfstraße 5 is a residence designed in 1914 and 1921 in the English country-house style by August Ott and William Rzekonski. It stands in the northern part of the park at the highest point on the banks of the Bille; a lawn lies to the west, while trees stand on the other sides. The historic interior features stucco ceilings, wooden coffered ceilings, Delft tiles, and doors and windows with leaded glass. The main building was part of the former Weltevreden estate complex.

The Wentorf municipal archive is open to everyone for scholarly, local-history and genealogical research, by prior arrangement with the municipal archivist. The archive regularly offers lectures, exhibitions and excursions, usually in cooperation with the Wentorf Citizens' Association.
