Lehmrade: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Lehmrade is surrounded by core zones of the Lauenburg Lakes Nature Park. The Hellbachtal Nature Reserve lies west of the village, while the Oldenburger See Nature Reserve borders Lehmrade to the north. Lehmrade is described as a largely rural recreational area for Mölln and the wider Lübeck and Hamburg region.

Nature

The Bannauer Moor lies east of Lehmrade. The protected area is associated with the rutting season of red deer. The Oldenburger See Nature Reserve bordering to the north is one of the largest crane resting areas in northern Germany.

The Hellbachtal includes a ravine approximately 20 to 30 metres deep. Lake Krebssee in the Hellbachtal has visibility of up to 7 metres. Rare peat mosses, sedges and bog arum grow in the marginal areas of Schwarzsee. The siltation zones of Lottsee provide a habitat for endangered plant species.

Trails

The Hellbachtal has marked hiking trails of varying lengths. The Church Cycle Tour and Mölln Cycle Route 2 cross the Hellbachtal at Adam und Eva. A route of approximately 5 kilometres along the Old Salt Road runs through the municipality of Lehmrade.

Getting Around

The district of Drüsen has a campsite directly on Lake Lütauer See. The Tiefe Kuhlen visitor car park is located between Drüsen and Lehmrade. Bus 8514 serves the Drüsen stop, while the RE83 line serves Mölln railway station as an access point to the Hellbachtal area.
