Nature and History

The former gravel-mining areas around Güster have developed into a recreational landscape of lakes. Tourism grew up around the lakes and campsites. At the bathing area on Lake Prüßsee, there is a sandy shore approximately 250 metres long, bordered by a reed belt and leading directly into a large grassy sunbathing meadow. The meadow includes a playground.

Water

The bathing area on Lake Prüßsee is located at the Freizeitwelt Güster campsite. Stand-up paddleboarding is permitted on Lake Prüßsee. Canoeing is also possible; there is a launch point next to the bathing area. A campsite is located directly next to Lake Prüßsee and the Elbe-Lübeck Canal. The Elbe-Lübeck Canal is a recreational waterway.

The bathing area is near the Elbe-Lübeck Canal. The campsite has a kiosk, a restaurant, toilets and showers. There is a car park in front of the campsite entrance.

Getting Around

The long-distance cycle route Alte Salzstraße passes by the bathing area in Güster. The regional cycle route “Mölln Tour yellow / 2 through the Hellbach Valley” also passes the bathing area. The “Avenues and Manor Houses Tour West” is a route of approximately 42 kilometres from Güster via Wotersen, Müssen, Siebeneichen and Besenthal back to Güster.

The Lauenburg Lakes Nature Park offers opportunities for hiking, cycling, canoeing and swimming. Bus route 8830 runs via Güster on the connection between Mölln and Büchen; one stop is located at Güster village square.
