Culture

The grounds of the Dr Carl Häberlin Frisian Museum include Föhr's oldest house, built in 1617 and relocated from Alkersum in 1927. The museum's open-air grounds also include a post mill from the Hallig Langeneß.

The Frisian Museum presents its cultural and historical collection in 10 rooms covering approximately 600 square metres. One department is dedicated to whaling and seafaring. The Frisian Museum opened in 1908.

The first Wyk bell tower was built in 1701 and historically served as a signal for church services, fires and storm surges.

Nature

The National Park House in Wyk is an information and visitor centre for the Wadden Sea World Heritage Site and the Schleswig-Holstein Wadden Sea National Park. Guided natural history mudflat walks, detective rallies and evening beach walks start from there. Föhr has five signposted themed cycling routes.
