Westhof Bio-Gemüse GmbH & Co.KG is a state-recognised Bioland processing company. In Friedrichsgabekoog, Westhof manages 400 hectares of organically farmed arable land. In the Dithmarschen marshland, the company grows types of vegetables that are typical of the region. Freshly harvested organic vegetables are washed directly at Westhof and packaged for retail. Westhof also takes in vegetables from around 30 other organic farmers in the region. Ten hectares of greenhouse cultivation are available for the organic cultivation of tomatoes and peppers.
Westhof Bio also has a farm shop in Friedrichsgabekoog.
