Culture and history
In the 19th century, Adorf was a centre of German mother-of-pearl production. Parts of the historic town wall have been preserved directly next to the Freiberg Gate. Adorf’s preserved historic town gate, the Freiberg Gate houses an important collection on the freshwater pearl mussel, pearl fishing in the Vogtland and mother-of-pearl production.

The Historic Railway Depot in Adorf is described as the only railway depot in the Vogtland that is still intact.
Nature
Adorf Botanical Garden focuses on alpine flora and displays thousands of plants from high mountain regions around the world. Its tufa limestone section is described as the largest of its kind in a German botanical garden.
Trails
The Zeidelweidetal educational trail in Adorf is approximately 8 km long and has 52 bilingual German-Czech information boards. A hiking route from Adorf starts at the Waldbadstraße car park, passes Klein-Vogtland and the Botanical Garden, and joins the Vogtland Panorama Trail via the Zeidelweide stream valley. Klein-Vogtland offers a circular tour on which visitors can see 90 notable Vogtland buildings at once. In addition, Adorf has more than 60 km of further signposted hiking trails with viewpoints, resting areas and places to stop for refreshments.
