Klipphausen: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
The main adit portal of the Rothschönberg Adit is part of Klipphausen’s cultural heritage; through this connection, the town is linked to the UNESCO World Heritage Erzgebirge/Krušnohořà Mining Region. Anyone wishing to rent a holiday apartment in Klipphausen can then continue searching for accommodation.
Culture and History
The Triebischtal Geopath is designed as an educational trail focusing on geology and mining history. Visitor experiences associated with Klipphausen include Schulzemühle, described as Germany’s smallest walk-in watermill and still producing flour, as well as the Miltitz Old Lime Mine. The lime mine conveys the history of lime and silver mining in the 19th and 20th centuries and provides a setting for concerts and other events.
Along the Wulf Kirsten Hiking Trail, stations featuring poems invite visitors to read and reflect. Part of the trail can be covered as a guided alpaca hike. The Wulf Kirsten Hiking Trail begins at the quarry in Klipphausen. Free parking is available at Klipphausen Castle or at the Klipphausen hiking car park.
Nature and Trails
The Constappel–Klipphausen–Röhrsdorf–Constappel route leads through the Saubach Valley to Klipphausen and follows the Regenbach Valley on the return journey. A historic mill dating from around 1700 is located along this route and can be visited annually on Mill Day.
The Triebischtäler Route follows a protected, sparsely developed valley landscape within the Triebischtäler Landscape Conservation Area. For completing the route, the official route information recommends using public transport for the return journey, as only small parking areas are available at the endpoints. The route begins at the Buschbad bus turnaround in Meißen and ends at Rothschönberg Castle; a bus connection enables the return to the starting point.
Hiking and Pilgrimage Trails
The Wilde Saubachtal Route is part of the Saxon Way of St. James pilgrimage route from Königsbrück to Wilsdruff. It runs between green meadows, hillside woodland, and a vegetated riverbank along a gravelly stream. On this route, Neudeckmühle is a country inn and trail junction.
