The permanent exhibition at the Weißwasser Glass Museum presents 150 years of Lusatian glass, as well as the intertwined development of glass production in Upper Lusatia and the history of the town of Weißwasser. The history of the glassmaking town also includes Bauhaus student Wilhelm Wagenfeld: from 1935 to 1947, he was artistic director of the Vereinigte Lausitzer Glaswerke in Weißwasser.
