Culture
Horka’s defensive wall, a landmark of the town, surrounds Horka Church and has a diameter of 50 metres and a height of 7.5 metres. The church contains centuries-old murals and an altar dating from 1667. The fortified church complex is estimated to be around 800 to 900 years old. A concert traditionally takes place in Horka’s fortified church as part of the Görlitz Jazz Days.

The local “Wehrkirch” Horka Riding and Driving Club offers riding lessons for younger and older students, as well as dressage, show jumping, carriage driving and eventing.
Nature
The FFH area near Biehain covers approximately 193 hectares. The western section of the FFH area is located on the Biehain–Mückenhain road at Waldsee lake in Biehain and includes ponds west of Biehain. Part of Horka is designated as part of the FFH area “Ponds and Wetlands Northeast of Kodersdorf”.
Bodies of Water
The Horka–Biehain Water Trail is a 12.6-kilometre educational and recreational trail in the Upper Lusatia tourism region. At Waldsee lake in Biehain, visitors can find pedal boat and rowing boat rentals, volleyball, table tennis, a children’s playground and catering facilities.
Cycling
The northern Neisse region is associated with cycling tours and recreation amid parks and palace landscapes. The Neisse Region Tour is a 143.42-kilometre circular cycling route. It follows the Frog Cycle Path to Horka and then continues to Rothenburg/O.L. The route mainly runs along existing and signposted paths, including the Oder–Neisse Cycle Route, the Frog Cycle Path and regional tours.
