Mildenau: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
Mildenau developed as a forest-strip village: three- and four-sided farmsteads were laid out halfway up the mountain slopes. The surrounding landscape offers views towards the Preßnitz Valley, Rauschenbach Valley and Pöhl Valley and features extensive hedgerow landscapes. Anyone wishing to rent a holiday apartment in Mildenau can then continue searching for accommodation.
History
The Protestant Church in Mildenau was built between 1834 and 1839 and is a protected cultural monument. The Mildenau History Trail runs through the village for 2.89 kilometres. Along the way, 12 carved panels with text and 50 ceramic panels show historic views of buildings.
The history of mining is also part of the village's character. The Mildenau Mining Trail can provide insights into the area's historic mining activities. There were once around 230 adits and pits here. In the Ore Mountains, turning wooden rings and making wood shavings are traditional craft techniques. At demonstration workshops in the Ore Mountains, visitors can watch craftspeople make Christmas pyramids, candle arches, incense smokers and angels.
Nature

The Arnsfeld Tree Educational Trail uses information boards to explain native trees and shrubs.
