The market square is recommended as the starting point for a walk through Querfurt’s old town. At the foot of the castle is the Querfurt municipal swimming pool, featuring stainless-steel pools, a sports and entertainment area, a large water slide and a diving tower.
Nature
The gently hilly Querfurt countryside is ideal for hiking and cycling. Regional and long-distance cycle routes cross the Querfurt countryside. The Geo-Trail connects Querfurt Castle with the Nebra Ark and is described as a challenge for cyclists.
Near Landgrafroda lies Märzenbechertal, a gorge covered with beech and oak trees where spring snowflakes bloom in spring. The area has been designated a protected natural monument since 1989. Märzenbechertal can only be reached on foot and is not accessible to people with limited mobility.
