Landscape

Naumburg is situated in the Saale-Unstrut landscape, which is characterised by vineyards, orchards, river valleys and mixed forests. The winemaking tradition there dates back more than a thousand years. The Saale-Unstrut region has around 1,300 kilometres of developed hiking trails, including circular routes and shorter discovery trails.

Naumburg provides access to interconnected cycling routes associated with the Saale Cycle Route, the Elster Cycle Route and the Unstrut Cycle Route. Local bicycle rental stations offer rentals by the hour or day, and some providers offer luggage transfers.
