The Elster Cycle Path runs through Elsteraue from Bornitz via Göbitz, Draschwitz, Ostrau, Reuden and Predel to Profen. At the Bornitz Elster weir, there is a seating area with a view that is suitable for picnics and breaks. Numerous resting places can be found between the new Elster bridge in Bornitz and the Profen wildlife enclosure.

The Ostrau double mill was first put into operation in 1210. To this day, the mill grounds have changed very little.

In Profen, the Landgasthof und Pension Zur Eiche offers Bohemian beer as well as Slavic or seasonal cuisine in an outdoor seating area.
