Active pursuits
Mandelbachtal offers hilly cycling terrain with gradients of up to 18 per cent for road cyclists. There is a small BMX and bike track at the sports field in Heckendalheim. Horse riding is possible year-round at riding stables in Mandelbachtal. Fishing with a permit is possible on the Blies, on the Mandelbach and at a club-managed fishpond in Habkirchen.

Culture and history
The Haus Lochfeld Cultural Landscape Centre is located in a nature reserve. In Wittersheim, the limestone educational trail is linked to the Haus Lochfeld Cultural Landscape Centre as a visitor attraction in Mandelbachtal. The centre has a small exhibition on cultural landscapes and regularly hosts events. Its outdoor grounds are open year-round and free for visitors. They include an ecological vineyard, an orchard meadow, a bee house and several themed gardens.
Gräfinthal Abbey near Bliesmengen-Bolchen was traditionally founded in 1243 as a Wilhelmite monastery, was the last Wilhelmite monastery on German soil and has been resettled by Benedictines since 1999.
The Village History House in Bliesmengen-Bolchen showcases rural life in Mandelbachtal in the 19th and early 20th centuries. The exhibition includes a historic shoemaker's workshop, a historic kitchen and a bedroom from the early 20th century. There is also a historic hairdressing salon, as well as tools associated with a former village doctor, a former dentist and a former midwife.
Visiting and orientation
The Village History House is open from April to December on the third Sunday of each month or by prior arrangement. The attractions and trails are spread across several districts and combine nature, activity and history themes within Mandelbachtal.
Regional produce
Wack organic farm is affiliated with the Bliesgau Dairy Cooperative. Visitors can buy yoghurt, fresh milk and fresh cheese in the farm shop or at the roadside self-service stand “Milchheisje”.
