An 8.4-kilometer circular trail in the Illtal Heights passes orchards, fields, open deciduous and mixed forests, the Schaumbergblick viewpoint, a Kneipp-style foot-wading facility, and the Bamster Wald nature trail with more than 30 interactive stations.

Geographical Location

Illingen railway station serves as a bus and train interchange. From there, regional train connections are available to the ICE stations in Saarbrücken and Homburg. The municipality is also located at the junction of the A1 and A8 near the Illingen and Kreuz Saarbrücken exits.
