The former Benedictine abbey in Mettlach is home to the headquarters of Villeroy & Boch. A ceramics museum and a multimedia exhibition present the company’s history and products there. The exhibition also showcases the company’s design process, manufacturing and product presentations.
Another historic site is the Old Tower. It was built between 987 and 994 as St. Mary’s Church and is the oldest surviving sacred building in Saarland.
