It includes 18 paintings and sculptures by local artists and can begin at the “Steimel” hiking portal, Struthütten railway station, or the Familienbad Neunkirchen - Salchendorf stop. In addition, Neunkirchen has seven other circular hiking trails totaling around 26 kilometers.

History and Culture

The documented history of Zeppenfeld Castle dates back to 1378. Its façade is the still-visible indication of Selbach-Zeppenfeld’s former aristocratic history. The Museum of the Freier Grund has around 600 square meters of exhibition space. The Wodanstolln visitor mine is listed as one of the attractions of a district of Neunkirchen. The municipality also organizes the “Kultur am Ort” events series.

Getting There

By car, Neunkirchen can be reached via the Wilnsdorf or Haiger/Burbach exits of the A45. The RB96 HellertalBahn connects Neunkirchen to the rail network via Betzdorf, Haiger, and Dillenburg.
