Halver is a town in the Märkischer Kreis district of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, located at an elevation of approximately 440 metres. Anyone wishing to rent a holiday apartment in Halver can then continue their accommodation search.

History

The recorded history of Halver dates back to around 950, when the Oberhof Halvara was first mentioned in the register of Werden Abbey. Halver was the seat of a Fehmgericht court for more than 500 years. The earliest unequivocal evidence dates from 1243; the court ceased to exist in 1753. During municipal reforms in the former Altena district, Halver was granted town privileges in 1969.
