The Hansaweg is a 72-kilometre certified hiking trail through the Lippe region. It runs from Herford via Bad Salzuflen, Lemgo, Hillentrup, Linderhofe and Bösingfeld to Hamelin. The trail has passed through Lemgo for more than 80 years.
Hikers can obtain a printed map showing the exact route of the Hansaweg, along with further information, from the Lemgo Tourist Information Office.
The Lippisches Landesmuseum and the Grotenburg are located in the area surrounding Lemgo. Further afield in the region around Lemgo are the Falkenburg ruins, Klöppingsberg, the Ottenhausen Blockhouse and Stapelager Berg.
Großer Ehberg and Bielstein are also located in the area surrounding Lemgo.
