Pesch: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Pesch is a rural settlement on the Quartbach stream. Orchards line the stream valley, and the village consists of two settlement centers. Anyone wishing to rent a holiday apartment in Pesch can then continue searching for accommodation.

Near Pesch are the Jakob-Kneip-Berg, Hardt, Ottenberg and Zimmerscheid hills.

Culture

On Addig Hill near Pesch are the remains of the Heidentempel, a Roman temple district where local goddesses of protection and fertility, known as the Matrons, were worshipped.

Pesch also has a documented literary and artistic connection: the painter Otto Pankok lived there from 1941 to 1946, while the writer Jakob Kneip lived there until his death in 1958 and is buried in the Pesch cemetery.

The surrounding area of Pesch contains the Southwestern Tower, the Stumpfgasse Tower, the Turmstrasse Tower and the Grosse Bleiche Tower.

Transport

Pesch is served by the demand-responsive TaxiBus route 821 between Bad Münstereifel and Schleiden via Pesch, Zingsheim, Keldenich and Kall. The service must be requested at least 30 minutes before departure. The municipal network generally provides access to the train stations in Nettersheim, Bad Münstereifel or Blankenheim-Wald.
