At the site of the former Eifelhöhen Clinic, the accessible nature trail offers a sensory experience of the Kalk Eifel. Twelve stations lead through themes such as calcareous grassland, a historic garden, a pond, Roman history and views towards Steinfeld Abbey.

The nature trail is step-free and includes circular routes with varying inclines. These include guidance edges, some information panels with Braille and tactile models. The café-restaurant and the accessible toilet at the Eifelhöhen Clinic can also be used.

Marmagen has documented Roman heritage: the ancient settlement of MARCOMAGUS is recorded on the Tabula Peutingeriana and was located through archaeological investigations of the Roman road from Cologne to Trier between Marmagen and Nettersheim.

The Cistercian monastery of Steinfeld is located in the vicinity of Marmagen. The Dollendorf ruins are situated in the surrounding area of Marmagen. In the wider regional surroundings of Marmagen are Vogelsang Castle and Satzvey Castle.

Marmagen also has a centuries-old craft tradition, with a concentration of businesses related to the construction industry.
