From April to October, visitors can enjoy fresh garden-to-table herb-country cuisine made with vegetables, salad, herbs and blossoms, as well as coffee and cake, at the café in the rustic barn at the Carlsthal herb farm on Saturdays. Breesen: first documented mention and estate history
Breesen was first mentioned in a document in 1232. Breesen Estate was owned by the Woltke family from 1308 to 1612. These dates describe different chapters: 1232 marks Breesen’s first documented mention, while the later period gives the time when the Woltke family owned the estate. Anyone interested in local history will find two clearly dated points of reference here that are easy to distinguish.
