Selpin is situated in gently undulating terrain southeast of the upper Recknitz, in the headwaters of the Warbel, a small stream that flows eastwards to the Trebel.

History

The former Tessin main command post of the National People's Army of the GDR was located near Drüsewitz; in Wilhelmshof, a few remnants of walls mark the site of a former settlement of the same name.
