Village square and historic village layout

Vielank preserves the layout of a Rundling village with a block-strip field system arranged around a central village square. Several old farmhouses have been preserved, with their gables facing the square. The Vielanker Brauhaus has its own aurochs herd. The animals graze year-round on 180 hectares of meadow; the herd in Vielank numbers almost 200 animals. The Vielanker Brauhaus is located directly in the Mecklenburg Elbe Valley Nature Park and is part of the Elbe River Landscape Biosphere Reserve (MV).
