The Lehre Village Museum opened in May 1995. It is housed in an old half-timbered building in the historic center of Lehre and showcases rural life and work. Visitors can see a living room, a bedroom, and a kitchen. Opening hours and guided tours are available by prior arrangement.
The museum preserves more than 1,000 years of local village history through certificates, documents, and photographs. Lehre is also home to the local Kulturverein Lehre association. An information board in Lehre contains a map of the town with historic buildings, a brief overview of the town's historical development, and a QR code with further information online.
In the municipality of Lehre, cyclists can stop at the historic windmill in Wendhausen. Schloss Wendhausen is also located in the municipality, a Baroque palace that emerged in 1688 from a dilapidated medieval moated castle.

The Geopark stele in Lehre stands on Marktstraße in a prominent location visible to tourists. Lehre is located in the “Harz. Braunschweiger Land. Ostfalen” Geopark and between the Jurassic basins of Hondelage and Schandelah. Nearby Schandelah is home to an extraordinary fossil site of international importance.
