At the MEYER WERFT Visitor Centre, visitors can experience modern and sustainable shipbuilding up close. The Maritime Experience World offers a look back at Papenburg as a shipyard and maritime trading centre: across 1,000 m², it presents the city’s history and the development of wooden and steel shipbuilding in an interactive format. The “Friederike” is another reminder of this tradition.
