The 9.4-kilometer-long, moderately difficult Assmannshausen Red Wine Trail starts at the church in the town center, passes the chairlift station, and includes a viewpoint overlooking the Assmannshausen Höllenberg. It runs through vineyards, past the Höllenberg, and along old dry-stone walls, open woodland edges, and species-rich meadow margins; a short detour leads to the Rotweinlaube panoramic viewpoint.

The Assmannshausen chairlift takes visitors from the valley toward Niederwald Hunting Lodge.
