In the Veckerhagen district, an industrial monument is listed on Obere Kasseler Straße: a former landgravial ironworks where, according to tradition, Denis Papin is said to have cast the boiler described as the world's first steam boiler in 1699.
Opposite the municipality, the ruins of the legendary Brama Castle can still be seen in the Bramwald; a statue of Brama was given to Reinhardshagen as a gift by the district of Kassel.
