Riedstadt: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
The Kühkopf-Knoblochsaue Nature Reserve is the largest nature reserve in Hesse. It extends across the districts of Riedstadt, Stockstadt and Biebesheim and, within the municipality of Riedstadt, includes parts of the Leeheim and Erfelden districts. The area offers the opportunity to explore a floodplain landscape that has otherwise almost completely disappeared along the Rhine. Around 60 km of hiking trails, which are also suitable for cyclists, provide access to the landscape.

Culture and Literature
The Büchner House is the farmhouse at Weidstraße 9 where Georg Büchner was born. Since 1998, the permanent exhibition “From Goddelau to the World Stage” has been on display in the restored birthplace. The art gallery at the Büchner House hosts exhibitions, readings and lectures.
Trails
The signposted Elisabeth Langgässer hiking trail is popular with many walkers and literature enthusiasts at any time of year. Information boards along the trail contain biographical details and quotations by the writer Elisabeth Langgässer.
The hiking trail to the floodplain meadows along the river is 9 km long. Ten information boards explain the special characteristics of this type of meadow and measures to protect it.
The Goller Adventure Trail through the old Neckar riverbed is approximately 3.7 km long. Along the trail, visitors can trace the interplay between natural conditions and human influence on the shaping of the landscape.
Access Points and Water
Kühkopf Island can be reached on foot or by bicycle from Erfelden or Stockstadt via a bridge. The Knoblochsaue area can be reached via Erfelden or Leeheim; visitor parking is available, among other places, at the Federal Network Agency on Schusterwörthstraße in Leeheim.
Riedsee Leeheim is a quarry lake created as a result of gravel extraction, covering an area of 24 hectares and featuring a designated beach. Windsurfing is one of the recreational activities at Riedsee Leeheim.
