Herzberg: Holiday apartments and holiday homes
Culture and history
The church in Herzberg was rebuilt in 1882–1883. Material from a previous fieldstone building dating back to the 13th century was used for this purpose. Its protected furnishings include a silver-gilt chalice from the first half of the 16th century, a brass baptismal bowl from 1668, and two chandeliers.
Visitors can also see traditional old farmhouses in Herzberg. Stork Tower, Northwestern Defensive Wall, Mauerstrasse Defensive Wall, and Mint Tower are located in the surrounding area of Herzberg.
Another historical connection leads to Hartensdorf. The place was originally established as an estate settlement and later became known for a mulberry tree plantation associated with local silk production. Its manor house castle is now a ruin.
