Reichertshausen Castle is a late Gothic moated building set in a large park. The three-winged complex has an inner courtyard enclosed by a high wall. Gothic frescoes were uncovered in the archway in 1979/80. The building thus brings together architecture and a specific detail from its history.
The chapel is also part of the castle’s history: Joseph von Weichs had it built in 1714 in honour of the Fourteen Holy Helpers. Its documented works of art include a baptismal font created around 1500 depicting John the Baptist, as well as early Renaissance depictions of St Stephen and John the Baptist, also created around 1500.
