The GEO-Zentrum at the KTB in Windischeschenbach is an environmental education center. Its offerings include the permanent exhibition “SystemErde” and the GEO laboratory, which focuses on geoscientific experiments. If you would rather take in the landscape outdoors, the KTB has a landscape cinema where you can enjoy the vastness of nature at your leisure. Neuhaus Castle and Museum

Neuhaus Castle was built around 1300 by Ulrich I of Leuchtenberg. Neuhaus has been a district of Windischeschenbach since 1972. The castle houses the Waldnaab Valley Museum, whose themes range from the natural and economic history of the Waldnaab Valley to local history, art, culture and research. The castle and museum thus offer different ways to explore the history and cultural setting of the area.

There are numerous Zoigl taverns in Windischeschenbach and the district of Neuhaus. Zoigl is often served with a hearty homemade cold platter.
