The glassworks in Bahnhofsallee offers a modern take on this heritage; at the Grenzglashütte, visitors can experience glassmaking at close quarters. It is located in Bayerisch Eisenstein, 100 m from the German-Czech border, and showcases contemporary and regional art. Every year, visitors can also see works by famous artists from past eras. Hiking trails, a Kneipp facility and ski runs
All of the town’s hiking trails start at the Bayerisch Eisenstein Hiking Park. The park also has a natural Kneipp facility and a small adventure playground for children. For a longer tour, two stages of the Goldsteig trail offer useful points of reference: Stage N14 connects the Großer Arber with Bayerisch Eisenstein, while Stage N15 connects Bayerisch Eisenstein with the Großer Falkenstein.
