Scheidegg combines nature experiences with attractions that promise very different discoveries: above the village, at an altitude of around 1,000 metres, is the “Skywalk” treetop walk at Waldwelt Skywalk Allgäu. The path to the entrance to the waterfalls starts in the village centre and follows Bräuhausstraße out of the village and through the district of Rickenbach. The walk from the village centre takes about 20 minutes. This approximate walking time and the specific route help you gauge the excursion. The Scheidegg Reptile Zoo offers a very different experience. The variety of animal groups makes a visit an opportunity to learn about very different reptiles and other animals. For families interested in these animals, it is a specific attraction that differs markedly from the nature experiences offered by the treetop walk and waterfalls.

Visitors can explore the tropical house and outdoor enclosure on their way around the zoo. The zoo has been privately run since it opened in 1973. Both the indoor and outdoor areas are fully accessible. This gives you a clearer idea of the visit: it includes different areas, and the accessibility explicitly applies to both indoors and outdoors.
