Forests, moorland and trails around Görisried

Görisried has a protected landscape area with extensive moorland reserves and wetland habitats. Rare orchid species, flowers, herbs and butterflies can be found there. The Neuwald-Buchwald circular trail is 12 kilometres long and takes approximately 3½ hours. It follows forestry tracks through the forest, along small streams and across flower-filled meadows. The Wildberger-Hof circular trail covers 10 kilometres and takes approximately 2¾ hours; its gravel forestry track leads to a viewpoint near Wildberg.

The Mühlhalde circular trail starts at the church square in the town centre, follows the Waldbach and Mühlbach streams past the outdoor swimming pool and leads directly through the Görisried nature discovery trail. Those choosing the route to the suspension footbridge start at St. Ursula Chapel on the edge of town, heading towards Stadels and Wildberg; there is also a car park there. The trail descends through the Wertach Valley and crosses a small bridge to the suspension footbridge, which swings freely above the Wertach. Cycling routes and winter trails

Three cycling routes start and end in Görisried. The Northern Kempter Forest Route is 24.8 kilometres long and includes 330 metres of elevation gain. The Northern Wertach Valley Route is slightly longer at 25.9 kilometres, with 270 metres of elevation gain. The Southern Wertach Valley Route covers 34 kilometres and 450 metres of elevation gain. The natural outdoor swimming pool is fed by spring water, uses no chlorine and is free of charge; changing rooms and a washroom are available. There is also an ice and skate area opposite the multipurpose hall on Waldbachstraße: depending on the weather, the ice rink can be used from December or January. In summer, ramps and small goals are available for street hockey and ice hockey.
