St. Otmar and the Lupfen landscape conservation area

The former village church of St. Otmar in Durchhausen was built around 1630 and has a history spanning some 400 years. The Lupfen landscape conservation area includes land in Durchhausen and was designated on 22 April 1996. This places a historic building and a landscape conservation area side by side as two distinct ways of experiencing the town. The Witness Mountain Route as a cycling route

Donaubikeland Tour 7, the “Witness Mountain Route,” is about 19 kilometres long. It runs from Talheim through Durchhausen, Gunningen, Hausen ob Verena and Seitingen-Oberflacht, before returning to Talheim. Durchhausen lies along the route, while Talheim is the start and finish; the distance given refers to the entire tour. Cyclists will find a variety of route ideas in the district. The Witness Mountain Route is a circular tour of about 19 kilometres that passes through Durchhausen; Mühlheim an der Donau lies directly on the International Danube Cycle Path. This route goes all the way to the mouth of the Danube into the Black Sea and can also be ridden in short stages. The cultural attractions also vary: the Neuhausen ob Eck Open-Air Museum features 25 historic buildings that were dismantled at their original sites, moved there and restored to their original condition.
