The Simplicissimus House in Renchen is a museum dedicated to the reception history of Johann Jakob Christoph von Grimmelshausen, with a particular focus on modern art that engages with his work.

The Simplicissimus House stands next to Renchen Town Hall and opposite the historic Zum Bären inn. In the middle of the square stands a bronze statue created by Giacomo Manzù in 1977, entitled “The Hunter of Soest.”
