Liel Castle is a Baroque palace built around 1750. The former estate included a park, the Cavalier House, an agricultural building, a small Baroque theatre, and the former town hall building. A longer municipal cycle route connects Schliengen with Liel, Riedlingen, Holzen, Egringen, and Efringen-Kirchen; optionally, it can continue along the Old Rhine as far as Steinenstadt.
