Gåsetårnet is the only surviving tower of the former castle in Vordingborg. Gåsegangen provides a marked, 1.3-kilometre historical city walk. The circular route starts and ends at Slotstorvet. Kirkeskoven offers opportunities for walking and running all year round, as well as informal trails, paths and a nature playground. In 2022, 12 hectares in Kirkeskoven and Kirkeengen were placed under protection; these areas remain open to the public.
